Gutter Cleaning Experts
One of the leading causes of damp in the home is blocked guttering. Guttering should be free of all leaves, sludge and other debris to allow the rainwater to flow away from the roofline quickly and down the drainage system.
We use a powerful, purpose-built gutter vacuum to empty the whole gutter of all debris completely. We then flush the system with water and check all downspouts are empty, and the system is working correctly before leaving.
The waste makes good mulch and can be placed on your compost heap, borders or into the green bin if preferred.

It is often obvious when there is a problem with the gutter. You can see weeds, grass and occasionally trees growing up there. Sometimes, there is a blockage in a downspout that is not visible from the ground.
We offer a gutter survey, the price of which is deducted from the gutter clearance if required.
The key benefits of this method are
-
We can reach all sections of the guttering safely from the ground. (If working from a ladder, you are forced to miss areas above conservatories or higher sections due to safety concerns).
-
Placing ladders on your fascia or guttering is unnecessary, which may cause damage.
-
Clears leaves, moss, sludge, water, weeds and other debris efficiently.
-
No mess to clear up at the end.
-
We bring our own power supply with our vehicle-mounted generator so you do not have to be home when we call.
FAQ's From Our Customers
Question
How do you clean the gutters?
Answer
We tend to use a purpose-built “gutter vac”. This is an eighty-litre wet and dry vac with very powerful motors. We attach a hose and lengths of carbo-fibre tubing with a variety of tools at the end. The vac sucks all the contents of the gutters out leaving them completely empty.
From time to time we still use the ladders to push back slipped tiles or do a minor repair but most of the time, the vacuum is able to do the job 100%.
Question
We have gutter guards, so don’t need our gutters clearing, do we?
Answer
Gutter guards can cause more problems than the one they were designed to solve.
Silt, sludge and general debris build up beneath the guard, and then grass and weeds begin to grow up around and through the guard. So, although whole leaves and twigs are kept out, you can end up with a more extensive job a little further down the line.
The bristly guards are the best option when considering gutter guards.
Question
The water from the gutter runs down the outside of our downspouts. Why is this?
Answer
The water from the gutter runs down the outside of our downspouts. Why is this?
One of two reasons. Either your drains are blocked. So when it rains, the water has nowhere to go, and it backs all the way up and then over and down. The angle piece to the downspouts is fitted upside down so the flange is outside rather than inside the downspout.
We see both issues and can fix them usually with no drama.
