Tarmac has long been an option for driveways and car parking areas. It is relatively low cost and looks good when newly laid. It is, however, not without its drawbacks.

Due to the nature of the surface, lots of little fissures and gaps. It is a breeding ground for moss, algae and lichen. The spores have a nice, sheltered spot to gain a foothold and begin to grow and spread.

Regular cleaning is required to maintain the appearance, eradicate the moss and algae and keep the surface safe to walk on.

We offer a three stage cleaning process

Step 1. Remove as much moss as possible by brushing with a stiff-bristled broom.
Step 2. Clean with water, a flat surface cleaner and a pressure washer.
Step 3. Spray with a biocidal ant-fungal wash to kill the remaining spores.
